These can come from the different personalities of the authors or the unique industries they specialize in. Still, even if the perspective comes from an industry outside of our own, the insight can be incredibly inspiring. At Brew City Marketing we keep a stack of our favorite business books in our conference room and any current or prospective client is welcome to take one home! Here are some of our current favs.

This is the first time a book has addressed the issues one might find when trying to sell a new idea to a skeptical customer’s mind. Through witty narrative, the authors provide tools on how to make and position a new industry leader in an already established market. It also focuses on using recent trends to your benefit, finding the weak spots in your competitors, choosing the best name for your product, and so much more. An absolute must-read for those finding their way in the marketing industry.

Today Insperity has over $3 billion revenue, and its growth has all been due to the simple focus on making the people matter. This book eloquently explains how small to midsize companies can achieve success by making the most of their human capital.

Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-free Plan for Embracing and Achieving Your Goals by Rachel Hollis

Rachel Hollis is well known for her collection of Girl, “ “ books. Her honest humor and daringness to break her bad habits is an approach we all can take a page from. In this specific book, she talks about how people focus so much on wishing others would change when really the most powerful thing is to change yourself. This is a great lesson to learn and can really help a person go far no matter what industry they are looking to climb in!

Four Loop Learning: The Art of Journaling and Reflective Leadership by Bob Cancalosi 

In his book, Bob Cancalosi shares how journaling and reflection have allowed him to expand his expertise in Leadership Development. A book made up of different stories that reveal humanity’s habits to act out of Fear and Greed. These different examples of how people are ruled by these feelings help to open our eyes to how we may do the same on a daily basis. The people that can get past the lies that many tell themselves about work will discover what is real and in turn, find true success. Another awesome read that helps you pinpoint your bad habits and inspires you to grow for the better!

A New York Times Bestseller focusing on ‘unsuccessful hiring’. This book goes into detail about the simple mistakes people make when hiring new employees and how much money it can end up costing them in the long run. You learn quickly during this read that these mistakes are easily preventable.
