Project Description

Background & Challenges

Background

Brew City Marketing partnered with Bridging Brighter Smiles, a Waukesha nonprofit that provides preventive dental care in schools, to rebuild its outdated website and make program information easier for families and school partners to access. The previous site made it difficult for users to understand how services worked and where to begin. This project centered on accessibility, clarity, and improved user experience through modern Milwaukee web design practices.

Challenges

  • Disorganized navigation made it hard for families to find enrollment forms, program details, and scheduling information.
  • Lack of visual hierarchy limited the organization’s ability to communicate how their school-based program works.
  • Non-optimized mobile layout created friction for parents viewing enrollment materials on phones or tablets.
  • Minimal SEO structure made it difficult for search engines to understand the site’s purpose and service model.

Our Approach

Website Design & UX Improvements

  • Created a clearer navigation structure aligning with real user paths: Programs, Enroll, About, and Contact.
  • Organized content to explain exactly how the in-school dental program works, supported by simplified steps and supporting pages.
  • Updated the layout with a modernized design and improved spacing to help visitors scan content quickly.
  • Highlighted important actions such as enrollment and program participation to reduce user confusion.

Mobile Optimization & Accessibility

  • Rebuilt the site to be fully responsive across devices, improving readability for parents viewing forms and information on mobile.
  • Enhanced accessibility through clearer headings, larger button styles, and simplified sections that reduce cognitive load.
  • Structured forms and enrollment pathways in a way that reflects how families actually use the site.

Technical Improvements & SEO Foundation

  • Improved metadata and title structures to better communicate the organization’s services to search engines.
  • Cleaned up page architecture and created consistent internal links between Program pages, Enrollment, and Resources.
  • Optimized image sizes and core elements to support faster loading and broader accessibility.
  • Added analytics tracking to measure engagement and understand how users navigate core program pages.

Results

  • Stronger user experience through clearer navigation and simplified content flow.
  • Better mobile performance, making it easier for parents to enroll students from any device.
  • Improved clarity of program information, helping families understand the preventive dental services offered in schools.
  • More efficient user paths to critical actions, such as enrollment and contacting the organization.
